superliterate poster

Superliterate is a non-profit organization that teaches literacy and life skills to kids in shelters, foster care, group homes, and detention centers using comic books and graphic novels as creative teaching tools.

Donate if at all possible

Every penny will go towards creating sharing events that bring comics to kids that can really benefit from them. It is our hopes to create a reading room and teaching space soon. We will be launching a kickstarter to begin this process. We can use all the help you can provide. This will be so good for so many, and really, so incredibly cool to do.

Year One

Here we are, at the beginning of the “awareness drive”. It’s time to kick it up a notch because WE GOT OUR 501c3 STATUS!!! Yeah! I’m am a paperwork and red tape barbarian! Now we need to get the word out and figure out some method for comic drives so we can start bringing in the donations of unused comics and we need to start organizing reading meetups with the kids we intend to benefit.

It won’t be long until we launch a kickstarter for the space we will need to work out of, so, here we go. To everyone that has expressed an appreciation for this project, email me, your info will be kept secure and only to be used for communications with this challenging thing.
